Welcome to St. Alexander Nevsky Church! No one needs an invitation from us to worship God in His holy temple since the Lord God Himself invites us into His presence!

The church bookstore (next door) is open 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM Tuesday through Friday, 1:00 to 4:45 PM on Saturday, and for a few minutes after Liturgy on Sunday.

Sundays and great feasts: hours and the Divine Liturgy at 9:00 AM
Monday - Friday, 5:10 AM: Midnight Office as a reader's service (except when the Liturgy is served that day; see our calendar)
Monday - Friday, 4:30 PM: Compline as a reader's service (or matins beginning at 4:00; see our calendar)
Following the Divine Liturgy on Sundays all are welcome to join us for lunch at the parish hall, located two blocks away at 28 Kimball Street, Richmond, Maine.
Regarding Confession and receiving the Holy Mysteries: For those who commune every week, by default preparation consists of the following: confession within the past week, attendance at vigil the night before, reading the order of preparation for Holy Communion (consisting of one canon and ten prayers), and arriving at the Divine Liturgy on time.
If you are unable to be at vigil the evening before, you may read as much of the service as possible on your own (bilingual services may be found here), or you can stream it online (for example, from the St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington, D.C.). The evening must be spent in sobriety and preparation to receive the Holy Mysteries.
Visiting Orthodox Christians who have the blessing of their spiritual father and who have prepared as described above may receive the Holy Mysteries. It is always helpful to let us know by phone or email that you will be visiting and are hoping to commune.
Glory to God for all things!
